Quantum Amplifier Design Engineer

Job description
You will simulate and design next-generation superconducting amplifier chips used for applications such as qubit readout. These chips are both for customers doing state-of-the-art research and for internal developments toward better-performing amplifiers. She or he may be actively involved in other aspects of our business, such as measurements/sales/strategic/managerial aspects, where alternative growth opportunities lay.
Responsibilities
Continuously improve chip design with feedback from our internal fabrication and characterization team
Develop new types of chip layouts (e.g. customize the amplifier for a specific application of a customer)
Write and improve code to automate amplifier design and simulation
Job requirements
Python programming experience
Master's degree in Physics, preferably with a focus on quantum computation, or Master's degree in Electronics with a focus on microelectronics
Microwave engineering experience or affiliation
Great communicator and team player
Considered a plus
- Great python programming skills
- Superconducting quantum circuits / cQED experience or affiliation
- Cleanroom experience
