Job description

Are you enthusiastic about quantum computing and would you like to be part of a scale-up company? QuantWare is growing and to be able to improve quantum processors and parametric amplifiers. We are looking to expand our team with a Experimental Quantum Engineer.

Impact of the role

We’re looking for a highly motivated quantum engineer to strengthen our measurement team! In this role you will join our efforts to characterize and improve quantum processors and parametric amplifiers by performing advanced qubit measurements. This will involve a wide range of technical aspects; from vacuum technology and cryogenics to microwave engineering and quantum physics.

Responsibilities include installing and validating new RF components, maintaining the cryogenic setup, writing new measurement codes, characterizing and improving the company’s superconducting circuits. This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the R&D at a deep-tech company. As an integral part of the feedback cycle in device improvement and testing, you will work closely with the other engineering teams in the company as well.

What are you going to do?

  • Maintaining & upgrading cryogenic setups
  • Validating new microwave components and quantum devices
  • Developing measurement code & functionality
  • Characterizing superconducting circuit performance

What’s in it for you?

  • Salary based on your skills and experience;
  • Being part of the future of Quantum Computing;
  • A scale-up environment where you can shape your own role and receive a lot of responsibility from the get-go;
  • International environment; we are an international company, both in terms of employees as well as customers.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate probably doesn't exist, but if you check most of the boxes underneath, we would like to get in touch:

  • A master’s degree in physics, preferably with a focus on quantum computing;
  • Exceptionally motivated to make an impact;
  • Experience with programming. If that's Python-based programming, that would be a big plus;
  • Experience with superconducting circuits is a plus;
  • Experience with microwave measurement techniques is a plus;
  • A hands-on and can-do mentality

So, now we got your attention and interest; Apply!
