Your Challenge


As a Microwave/RF Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing RF components essential for advancing our 3D architecture and QPU product development. Your expertise will help realize our ambitious vision of producing quantum processors with over 1,000 qubits. These groundbreaking advancements will support our customers' cutting-edge research and further our mission to create a scalable quantum computer, pushing the boundaries of quantum computing technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform S-parameter Calibration Procedures and Measurements:
    • Conduct detailed measurements and calibrations of S-parameters (S21, S31, S11) to characterize and validate RF interfaces.

    • Ensure precise data collection to support RF component design and optimization.

    • Analyze measurement results to identify issues and suggest improvements.

  • Design PCBs for QPU Products and R&D Projects:
    • Develop and design PCBs for QPUs and related R&D projects.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design requirements into functional PCB layouts.

    • Optimize PCB designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

  • Conduct Package Mode Simulations:
    • Use advanced simulation tools to model and analyze the electromagnetic behavior of RF packages.

    • Predict and mitigate issues such as signal loss, interference, and crosstalk.

    • Collaborate with measurement engineers to validate simulation results and adjust designs as needed.

  • Design RF Filters:
    • Create RF filter designs to meet specific performance criteria, such as frequency response and insertion loss.

    • Test and validate filter designs to ensure they meet required specifications.

    • Integrate filter designs into larger systems, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.

Job requirements

Job Requirements

  • Experience in PCB design

  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in RF, Microwave, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience with characterization methods like VNA and/or spectrum analyzers

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Ansys, or related design/simulation tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong Python programming skills

  • Experience or affiliation with superconducting quantum circuits

  • Cryogenic measurement experience

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
