Quantum Production Technician

At QuantWare, the world’s leading producer of commercial quantum hardware, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantum Production Technician to join our team. Are you interested in quantum technology, do you have a technical background and do you like precision work? Keep reading!

Your challenge

As a Quantum Production Technician, you will be responsible for the package assembly of quantum processors and amplifiers. This involves wirebonding the chips to PCBs, assembling the packages, performing quality control, and fixing defects when necessary.

You will also be involved in other lab operations related to the production of our quantum chips, like component machining, inventory management and measurement set-up. Suggesting and executing improvements to the production processes is highly encouraged.

What are you going to do

• Perform package assembly of quantum chips

• Conduct visual inspections and electrical probing to verify the quality and integrity of the assembled components

• Assist other teams with lab operations related to the production of quantum processors, such as CNC & lasing, to support the overall production process

• Manage inventory of components, ensuring an adequate supply for production needs

• Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, procedures, and specifications

Job requirements

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about quantum technology and preferably have a strong technical foundation and education. Furthermore, you:

• Have a technical background at MBO or HBO level, like mechatronics or electrical engineering

• Speak English

• Are excited to perform precise and consistent execution of demanding assembly tasks, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high-quality standards

• Expertise in soldering and reballing is a strong plus, as is cleanroom experience
